Today we archived more than we expected. We took the Riksha to the Hitavada Office (largest circulated Daily of Central India) and more or less run into the Principal Correspondent. He and his colleague seemed very interested (maybe because we were the first foreigners they have seen and talked to for a while). They will publish our press release tomorrow. After the meeting we had an interview about ourselves, the project, Ecumenical Sangam etc. straight away during which their photographer took some pictures of the german-estonian project team. Afterwards we were invited to a nearby posh hotel to have a coffe with the journalist and to go the whole hog (naegel mit koepfen machen) he dropped us at Rainbow with his car and we could show him the place. We hope to catch up with him soon, because it was extremely interesting to talk with him for he could tell us a lot about indian culture, festivals, traditions, politics… Tomorrow we will go to two other office and try our luck again.
And finally we managed to buy stamps! Yes. Just to be prepared for all eventualities (strikes, post-staff-not-willing-to-sell-us-stamps, opening times…) we bought 70 stamps at one fell swoop. Maybe we can sell them on a traveler black-market for a lot of money…
