Sending a parcel to Germany! We went to the post office some time ago - readers of this blog know that this is one of my favourite places in Nagpur - got 8 (!) forms each, which I filled out last night meticulously (for each item in the parcel net weight, value, name, amount). Hargovind gave me some cotton, from the kitchen crew I got needles and yarn to sew the parcel. AND I found a cardboard of the right capacity and material. Finally, I felt prepaired to bring the project 'parcel' to an end!!
But then, this noon, the setback! Jona told me that none of the parcels which were sent recently reached its destination. Resignation. Arvo went to the DHL shop, a reliable German company! In India, reliability is costly - for my parcel it would have been nearly 100$. Plan B: I will give away most of the stuff, leave some things in Nagpur and send only a test parcel with some bits and pieces. Dear family, please dont be disappointed on Christmas. I tried my best! All the nice souvenirs will follow next february!
